Before that, he was with BlackRock for 14 years after originally being hired by Mercury Asset Management in Tokyo in 1998. During this time, he covered Japanese equities as an analyst and portfolio manager and interacted with global/EAFE teams in London. From 2002 to 2006, he was based in London, working as part of the global equity team covering Japanese markets. In 2006, he moved back to Tokyo, where he managed fundamental Japan equity portfolios across all capitalisations until his departure in 2012. Junichi holds a bachelor of laws degree from Hitotsubashi University. He has 29 years of financial industry experience. | ||
